How We Began
We both have individual experiences as performers and have now formed a successful partnership - Sister Sax.
Vocals: I began my singing career at 8 years old, performing in many theatre shows/musicals.
Over time I have been fortunate enough to travel worldwide as a singer and spent many years as
a vocal artist in several Greek islands, Canary islands, Australia and even as far as Thailand! I was a member of an all girl band back in the nineties and we were hugely successful across East Anglia and performed live regularly at Pontins,
Vauxhall, Haven, Potters and even on BBC radio!
I have the confidence and experience to provide a professional performance at every gig and can sing (almost) anything! After my success of singing worldwide I continue to work as a solo artiste, entertaining celebraties at Vanessa Feltz private dinner parties and often with male vocalist Tony T (Phatts & Small) who had the huge dance hit 'Turn Around'.
Saxophonist: I started playing the clarinet whilst at school at 8 years old. This progressed
to playing in bands in school as well as outside of the curriculum. Playing the clarinet was the
perfect way of introducing me to my current instrument, the Saxophone. At the age of 10 I joined
the 'East Norfolk Jazz Orchestra' becoming the youngest member to ever play with the band. During
my ten years with the band we played many events, highlights included the Southwold Jazz Festival
and Charity gigs for Great Ormond Street Hospital. All the while I was studying music at school
and music technology at college.
We find that live music really adds to the atmosphere of any celebration or night out. Our personalities
and humour combined with our creativity and passion for our work really show in each and every outstanding performance. We are extremely versatile and are just as suited to performing in a small wine bar in the Essex countryside, to an elaborate function in the West End, London.
We also have the privilege of performing for celebrities, with annual appearences at Vanessa Feltz's private parties.
